A friend came to me in tears one day and told me the story of her life and how she wanted to produce a documentary to tell the story of other women that have endured the same abuse she has.  This painting, this piece of art tells her story.  Purple her favorite color, thorns on the stems for the pain and the realization that with such ugliness comes such beauty!
